Rock Shrimp and Miami Special Rolls (16 pieces, two items in cart). I placed order this Thursday, August 1st, 2024. The first dish is spicy by itself, and Miami rolls have seaweed inside. The white net in the picture with the Rock Shrimps is edible/eatable, actually. How much in total, you are going to see you on the receipt (the delivery guy forgot about my $5 tips, and didn't come back, I did call, however).

Great service and excellent food! My long-time friend got me into this place and we went there the day before Father's Day with her grown son. I am not a sushi eater but I had their chicken and their little beef appetizers which were delicious. Would return soon!
Best sushi spot around!!! Always fresh, always tasty! No one else has this big selection of special rolls. I've tried almost all of them and they never miss! I would only suggest to call in advance for pick up orders because they are pretty busy and when you order on the place the wait time might be up to 30-40min.
I've been getting takeout from Chikurin for 3 years and am very satisfied with their consistency. The salmon always has a smooth texture and is flavorful, and portions are generous (they don't bury the sushi in a ton of rice and you can see huge chunks of avocado or fish pieces inside the rolls). One thing that sets Chikurin apart from other sushi spots is their Philly rolls. While almost all places use smoked salmon, which is how Philly rolls are normally prepared, Chikurin uses fresh salmon, and large pieces at that! Philly rolls are one of my favorite rolls here along with the salmon avocado rolls. Both are two of the cheapest priced rolls on the menu, have a great amount of the ingredients, and taste delicious. I am not the greatest fan of their eel or tuna rolls, and the cooked salmon rolls (salmon tempura, ginza) are hit or miss for me, but these rolls are definitely okay to eat - I just am a fan of their fresh salmon rolls the most.
First time ordering takeout from this Japanese restaurant and I must say.. I'm pretty impressed. I've tried the other Chikurin chain in Brooklyn (Bensonhurst) and I was disappointed but this place is awesome. There's a perfect proportion of rice to vinegar and it's neatly presented without adding additional sauce to it. I ordered shrimp tempura, crabstick, tamago, and ebi sushi. Will definitely come back as a regular.
I am so happy this place does delivery near me. I have just been so disappointed with the Japanese places near me that I just had to have high hopes for this place and I wasn't disappointed. My friend and I split a lunch chicken Katsu and a three roll lunch (pick tuna crunch, California roll and a chicken tempura roll). I thought the katsu was fried perfectly! I kind of wish the lunch box was a little more special as it was very basic but tasty. The sushi all tasted fresh, the tuna was fresh, no weird taste or smell. The only thing I didn't like with the sushi was that there was mayo on the chicken tempura roll.....never heard of that before and it was a little off putting. Overall, this will be my new local spot.
